On Sunday November 13 the brothers of Union Lodge No. 5 prepared a delicious breakfast for the Pyramid Shriners Motor Patrol, who were in Stamford to participate in the annual Veteran’s Day Parade. This was the second year in a row that the lodge hosted this breakfast. Worshipful Brother Digger Odell, Past Master of Union Lodge No. 5 and a member of the Motor Patrol, noted “The Motor Patrol is proud to participate in the Veteran’s Day Parade here in town, and our lodge is equally proud to give them a hearty breakfast as they prepare for the parade.” Coffee, juice, eggs, toast, and other foods, all cooked to order, were the highlight of the morning. Several brothers of Union Lodge No. 5 labored together in the kitchen and took care of all the arrangements, service and cleanup. “We have several brothers who are very active in the community and in organizations such as the Motor Patrol, so we are always happy to assist in any way we can—and breakfasts are a lot of fun for everyone” stated Worshipful Master Jon Ringel. The Motor Patrol was sent off to the parade with a round of applause and grateful thanks for the brothers of Union Lodge No. 5!
