The Fellowcraft Degree held at Union Lodge No. 5 on Wednesday January 18 served as a reunion of sorts for several visiting dignitaries and brothers from New York who had previously attended Union Lodge No. 5's year end Table Lodge.  Right Worshipful Brother Nicholas Paolicelli, Disrict Deputy Grand Master of the First Westchester - Putnam District (also Past Master of Yorktown Lodge No. 1154); Right Worshipful Brother Joseph Passaretti, Grand Director of Ceremonies of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York; and Worshipful Brother Brian Tessler, Worshipful Master and Brother Steve Ghirardi, Junior Deacon, both of Yorktown Lodge No. 1154, all returned to continue the fellowship and friendship that has been blossoming between the brothers and the lodges.

 

An interest in learning more about how ritual is performed in New York by two of Union Lodge No. 5's brothers--Junior Deacon Greg Axelrod and Senior Steward Michel Gomez--led them to arrange travel to the nearby Yorktown Lodge No. 1154, which meets in Mount Kisco, NY.  Invitations to share in the Table Lodge and return for the Fellowcraft Degree followed, and have been met with an enthusiastic response from the brothers in New York.  In return, Union Lodge No. 5 has been invited to attend Yorktown Lodge No. 1154's own upcoming Fellowcraft Degree, as well as a special homecoming program for RWB Paolicelli.

 

"We found Union Lodge No. 5 to be one of the friendliest lodges we have ever visited--everyone came up to us, introduced themselves and welcomed us when we came to the Table Lodge" RWB Paolicelli noted.  "We very much wanted to return to share in this evening and extend our invitations to visit us any time."  Plans were made by several brothers to visit Yorktown Lodge No. 1154 and continue the fellowship and friendship.
